Bursts of Brilliance® Art Salons

Bursts of Brilliance® Art Salons, founded and hosted by author and arts advocate Teresa R. Funke, pay homage to the famous Saturday night salons hosted by Gertrude Stein in 1920s Paris, which regularly drew artists, writers, and composers such as Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Matisse, and Picasso. Salons are a centuries-old tradition of conversational gatherings centered around lively discussion and critical discourse.

Come be a fly on the wall at this limited series of candid conversations as a rotating group of our brightest local stars—one each representing writing, visual arts, performing arts, and music—dig deep to uncover what is working for all types of artists today, what could be working better, and what has never worked at all in Fort Collins and beyond. We’re aspiring to strike a revolution in how the arts are experienced and valued. In doing so, we hope these evenings spark “bursts of brilliance” in your minds and hearts regarding your art and community, and the energy to move those bursts of brilliance forward.

This event is by invitation only and intended for an audience of professional artists; arts organizers and advocates; arts educators and service providers; and arts-based business owners.

If you live in the Fort Collins, Colorado area, and would like to be added to our invitation list, please e-mail Teresa at teresa@teresafunke.com
